Boiler maintenance in Ostend and the surrounding area: about an hour of work, and your boiler is clean, safe and correctly adjusted again. You get your certificate straight away.

What we do.

  • Cleaning the burner, the heat exchanger and the condensate trap.
  • Combustion analysis: CO, efficiency and flue gas temperature.
  • Adjusting the combustion.
  • Checking the water pressure, the expansion vessel and for leaks.
  • Checking the flue, and cleaning it where needed.
  • The cleaning and combustion certificate, straight after the work.

Someone has to let us in. Afterwards we explain what we did. If a part turns out to be worn, we tell you first and you decide.

How a maintenance visit goes.

Allow about an hour. Just make sure we can easily get to the boiler.

  1. Open and check

    We open the boiler and ask whether you heard, smelled or saw anything unusual.

  2. Clean

    Burner, heat exchanger and condensate trap. Where needed, the flue as well.

  3. Measure

    A combustion analysis: CO, efficiency and flue gas temperature.

  4. Adjust

    Setting the combustion correctly, and checking the water pressure, the expansion vessel and for leaks.

  5. Certificate

    You get your certificate, and you know when the next maintenance is due.

What the law asks.

After each maintenance you get a cleaning and combustion certificate. Keep it safe.

What customers ask us most often about the maintenance of their boiler.

What is the difference between a gas boiler and an oil boiler when it comes to maintenance?

Mainly the term. A gas boiler from 20 kW has to be maintained every two years, a boiler on fuel oil every year. Fuel oil burns less cleanly than gas and leaves more soot behind. On an oil boiler we therefore also clean the burner thoroughly, and replace the nozzle and the filter when needed. For gas we are certified as GI and GII (GV08654), for fuel oil as TV23693.

What does boiler maintenance cost?

Maintenance of a gas boiler costs € 180.20 including 6% VAT, for a home older than ten years. Travel, cleaning, combustion analysis and certificate are included. For a boiler on fuel oil it is € 212 including 6% VAT, with chimney cleaning charged separately. What is included in the price (in Dutch)

Who is responsible for boiler maintenance?

Under the Flemish rules, the user of the boiler, so also a tenant, unless the rental contract says otherwise. The full rules are on vlaanderen.be (in Dutch).

What is on the certificate after the maintenance?

The date, the combustion measurements, what was cleaned, and our name and certification number. An insurer, an inspector or a buyer of your home can ask for it. More about the cleaning and combustion certificate (in Dutch)

What happens if something turns out to be broken during the maintenance?

Then we tell you first, together with the price of the part. You decide whether we replace it straight away or later. A worn part that we spot in time does not fail in the middle of winter.

When is there room in the schedule?

All year round. There is most room in summer and early autumn. From October, when everyone turns the heating back on, requests build up quickly.
